Why courage is the first step.

Courage; easy to say, and hard to live by. Yet without it, nothing else is possible.

Aristotle was first to put down in words what our instinct tells us is true. Having courage isn’t always big acts like Nike celebrating Colin Kaepernick. It starts with the courage to tell the world what you believe in with action. Colin knelt. He didn’t shout. Courage is powerful. It can be a quiet or a loud power. It inspires those around you. It creates action and reaction. Momentum in a conversation. And drives you forward.

It opens up opportunity and rewards you for taking that step.

Because courage frees us to make mistakes, to innovate and to fly in the face of popular wisdom. It’s how brands like Apple, Tesla, KeepCup, Nike, ManRags and Boost continue to thrive and break new ground. They have the confidence in what they stand for and the courage to adapt and challenge to status quo.

Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow.
