The Challenge
CALM Engineering wanted to invest its Bounce Back Loan to evolve the profile and branding of the business so that it could be on the front foot of change for a better future. The goal of the investment is to increase the value perception of CALM and shift the perception of the business from a highly recommended sole trader to an easily found, recognised and sought after partner agency for Councils, water utility companies, building firms and conservation organisations.
The solution
Instil meaning into the CALM Engineering brand to ensure the business grows with work that lives up to the founder’s philosophy and belief in nurturing nature.
We delivered a brand positioning strategy, created CALM’s Brand Essentials Kit (logo, colour palette and fonts), developed report templates, a website and guide rails for updating and managing LinkedIn. These represent the key touchpoints with the business’s target audiences.
The Key To Success
Using SpareRoom’s Future Fit Brand methodology we worked in partnership with CALM’s founder, Caroline, to find and articulate CALM’s ‘why’, build a brand positioning framework around it and created a brand personality to deliver consistency.
This changed the focus of how CALM business from ‘Flood risk management and sustainable drainage’ to ‘Engineering Calm to improve life in local communities’.
